eGroup Sample Welcome and other Automated Messages

Messages can be set up by a group moderator that get automatically sent when a user requests a membership in the group, when they are accepted and added, when they leave the group, etc.

Sample 1 - Group Description

This is the description of the group that the user see on the group home page.  Non-members also see this description when they go to the group to request a membership.

Commission on Children and Youth, Diocese of El Camino Real. Membership is restricted, and messages may only be viewed by members.

Sample 2 - When User Requests Membership in a Restricted Group

This message would be sent when a user has a "Pending" membership.  A pending membership occurs when the user makes a request to join a restricted group.

Thank you for requesting a subscription to join the ecr-ccy group at Yahoo Groups.  This is a discussion list and repository for the members of the Commission on Ministry to Children and Youth in the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real.

Sample 3 - When a Pending Membership is Approved or a User Requests Membership in a Open Group

This message would be sent when a user has become a member of a group.  This happens either when a user requests to join an "open" group (moderator does not have to approve membership) or when the moderator approves membership in a restricted membership group.

Sample 4 - When User's  Request for Membership is Declined

This message would be sent when a user has a "Rejected" membership.  A rejected membership occurs when the moderator denies a user's request to join the group.

Sample 5 - When User Leaves a Group

This message would be sent when a user decides to leave the group.

If you are leaving due to some problem with the Yahoo group service, please take a moment to drop a line to the list owners at ecr-ccy-owner@yahoogroups.com and let us know what precipitated your decision to leave the ecr-ccy group.
