List of Franciscan Dinner Groups Safeguarding God's Children - We have a diocesan policy for "Safeguarding Children." Training is required for all volunteers working with children or youth. Fr. Chris will provide all you need to know and do at the upcoming meetings (check the calendar for any currently scheduled trainings). It is especially important that everyone working with children attend the training. If for some reason you can't attend scheduled trainings, please let Fr. Chris know so that he can arrange another time to cover this material with you. St. Francis Church Vehicle Donation Program - Proceeds from the sale of your vehicle can benefit St. Francis programs! Call the church office today for more info - (408) 292-7090. Sudanese Ministry at Trinity Cathedral -How you can help! Sudanese Ministry: Many "lost boys of Sudan" resettled by the church in San Jose need help with costs of tuition ($12/unit) and books for college ($200-300/semester). Sudan Relief: Sudan is in dire need of funds for children ($50-350), college students ($1000-3000), theological education for clergy ($400-6000), building and transportation equipment ($750-5200, and agricultural development projects ($4000). Make checks out to "Trinity Cathedral" and earmark "Sudanese Ministry" or "Sudan Relief", 81 N. Second St., San Jose, CA 95113 Communion Wafers are available for those who may be allergic to the baked communion bread. Please ask at the altar rail if you would like a wafer instead of the bread. New prayer books make a wonderful memorial. For $25
you can donate a prayer book to St. Francis in your own name or the
name of a loved one. Bookplates will be placed in

- Corporate as well as individual intercessory prayer is an
important part of our relationship with God and a source of
strength and hope. The St. Francis Prayer Chain is available
to help raise your prayers to God, confidentially and with love.

get Virginia's phone number). Pastoral Care - See Pastoral Care web page. Santa Maria Urban Mission Food Donations - Please remember to bring non-perishable food items for Santa Maria Urban Mission. Leave items in the basket in the Narthex and Virginia Holderman will see that they are delivered to Santa Maria. Items must have original seal intact and should not be past the expiration date on the container. Santa Maria can also accept some food items, such as baby powder and school supplies for children. Contact Virginia for more information. Morning Yoga at St. Francis - No experience with yoga? No problem. These classes are designed to start your day of right with a light-hearted approach to yoga that will strengthen your body, increase your flexibility and lift your spirit. Classes will be provided on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 6:00-7:00 a.m. and from 7:15-8:15 a.m. The cost is $80 for 8 sessions, or $10 per class "drop-in" or $120 for unlimited sessions during the month.
